I'm one to wear my hair up often, especially with I'm working or in warmer months. But I do greatly appreciate a good half-up, half-down hairstyle in the colder months (although today feels like a beautiful spring day, we still have a few weeks of winter left). Winter allows you to explore more down styles without having to battle full humidity, sweat and your blanket of hair making you hot. So, here are a few of my favorite styles I like to do when it's still cold out! Adding a little bling always spices up a style! This one might be the easiest of all! Simply tie your hair back in a loose half-up, half-down fashion, pull the top a bit so it's loose and wrap some hair out of the half ponytail, around where your hair is placed to hide it! Make sure you bobby pin the hair down, preferably where it can't be seen. I like to add in a nice, little clip of adornment when I wear really simple styles like this. It helps add a little pizzazz! This one is incredibly easy! Twist the front pieces of hair away from your face and make a ponytail with them. (So you'll start with just a half-up ponytail, just with a twist, literally!) Then roll that ponytail up into a little messy bun and pin to keep held up, and you're good to go!
Which one would you like to try? Are there any styles (here or in general) you'd like to see a tutorial on? Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day! With Love and Hair, Megan YouTube has been a part of my life for years now! It was the first social media platform that I really started talking about hair on and it grew more than I had imagined. I have a small following of people who watch every video and have been there from the beginning and knew me as my original YouTube name; Megalizabeth9. I knew that YouTube needed to be a part of my branding and name change, but I knew that there would be that core group that would notice even if I didn't create a video about it. So I decided to create a video chatting about all the change so that my local viewers who physically come to me to do their hair and my world wide viewers who love hair advice, but can't come sit in my chair, would all be updated on all the changes. I am so grateful to be blessed with two such followings. This wouldn't have even been a possibility 20 years ago, so I am thankful to have the internet to connect. So, if you would like some to be filled in on my branding changes, why I went with "Healthy Hair Stylist", and more, check out my latest video! Next video will be a review on one of my current favorite products! Hi friend! I am so glad that you have chose to come explore my website and get to know me! Let me tell you a little about myself and how much I love hair. My name is Megan Pirrocco, if this is your first time ever reading anything about me, Pirrocco is my married name. My maiden name was Megan Sandy and it's so funny having grown up with two first names, people were SO upset when I changed my last name. But hey, if you still call me Megan Sandy, I will certainly answer to it, that's who I was for 26 years and the name I started my career with! If you don't already know this, I absolutely adore hair styling. There is so much creativity in it, that's what originally got me started in this industry. But my inner hippie child has gotten me into the more natural side of life and that has led me to feel the passion for true, healthy hair. I can't complain at all about my life. God gave me this gift, so therefore each little stepping stone He has put in front of me, I graciously accept. I've been doing hair now for nine years, and just typing that out is mind boggling! Where has the time gone?! Early on in my career though, two big things happened. First, I got the love bug for wedding hair. This makes perfect sense though, because designing your dream wedding hair is peak creativity for me. Taking hair from just down and natural to a glorious style that the bride looks in the mirror, tears hit her eyes and she gives me a big hug, is absolutely one thing that brings me fantastic joy. This love of wedding hair has stuck with me all these years and I still adore helping a bride on her biggest day to feel her best. photo credit: Emily Moore Photo Second, early in my career and in my early 20's, I was extremely active on my YouTube channel where I did hair tutorials, hair advice videos and tips on how to have healthy hair. My hair tip videos, which I called Quick Tip Tuesday, became so popular! To this day, they are still the videos that get the most traffic. So in figuring out my niche in the hair world, those videos really helped in deciding on coining myself a "healthy hair specialist". I certainly do not know everything, but I know a lot about hair and I am always learning, and healthy hair is so important to me! I slowed down on the YouTube channel when my sweet husband entered my life. Yet another part of my life where God opened that door and spoke to my heart, we dated a year and a half before he got down on one knee atop Stone Mountain, NC and I said yes! Fast forward to October 7, 2016, we said "I do" on a sweet little farm with a hurricane blowing over us. photo credit: Emily Moore Photo Fast forward just a little bit more and we get to now, early 2018, and I am in my second month of being in my own salon! I quite fancy having my own little space to work with my sweet clients who have so diligently followed me over the years. I am so grateful for each and every person who comes to see me, including you! If you are new here, I would love to see you in my chair! Click here to book an appointment with me, or feel free to contact me on any of my social media sites! I look forward to meeting you! With love and hair,
